Virtuous Gamers offers a unique seasonal ranking system in which players can challenge each other by getting the highest rank possible during that specific season.

Our seasonal ranking system automatically follows the four seasons of the year: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

At the start of each season, the previous season stats will be saved on our website (www.virtuousgamers.eu) for the players to review their old stats, then the stats will reset at the launch of the new season and will start recording new stats from that time.

The system is designed to not only keep track of how well you are playing but also who you are playing against, we always recommend playing against someone who has a rank in your area. If there is a difference in rank the system will automatically take it into consideration, this means that if you play with players with an average higher or lower rank than your rank level we will automatically compensate the scoring. Performing well against higher ranked players will give you an extra amount of points for your performance. If you perform poorly against lower ranked players, you will loose an extra amount of points. Playing poorly against higher ranked players or playing well against poorly ranked players will result in less points lost or gained.

When the rank difference is too high to be considered a fair match our penalty system will be in effect, if you are way lower ranked and win a match you will gain 2.5 times the points you would have otherwise gained and your opponent will loose 2.5 times the points he would otherwise have lost. If you lose a match against a much higher ranked player you will gain a small amount of points for trying and he will gain no points for winning.

Finally you will see that some players have a rank without a rank indication number, these players have either earned a secondary rank through a special performance such as winning a special cup or earning a special title in the community or have in most cases received a custom rank of choice through a donation to the server. These special titles will never have a rank numbers.
